I'm new to puters but the old one I used to use had win
98 I've got Win XP the thing is when I typye a web
address in like www.fotopic.net for example it dosen't
work I have to type in http://www.fotopic.net there
must be a simple way round this but I can't suss it out

Try TOOLS|INTERNET OPTIONS|CONTENTS|AUTO COMPLETE button, and test the
options there.
