Address bar pull-down menu

I recently did some MS updates for my XP-run computer and afterwards
the pull-down menu to the right of the address bar no longer
works...you know, that's the pull-down that gives what appears to be a
list of the most recently or most popular websites I've been to so that
I just have to scroll down and highlight one of them to get to it.

Well, after the updates, it doesn't work anymore and I really like this
feature.

Anyway I can turn it back on?

Thanks

The 'feature' is probably still on, but the list got cleared, and will have
to build back up after you go to more and more sites.

Instead of relying on the address bar menu, consider using the favorites
feature in IE. Click the gold star on the toolbar to open the favorites
list. You can also use the Favorites menu in the menu bar.

Here's a tip: when you're on a web page you want to add to your favorites,
just click-and-drag the icon inside the address bar into the gold star (or
even to your desktop to make a shortcut there!).
