Hello People,
We have been having this problem, where after running
ad-aware on win2k systems, the users complain that they
cant use the address bar for searching anymore.
Ex: if you would type red sox in the address bar, it would
take you right to the site. Now it will show a page that
says, page cannot be displayed. Also the text in the
address bar changes to %20red%20sox.
I know the %20 is put in if there is a space, but I don;t
know the relenvance to that.
In tools, internet options, advanced, search options, I
made sure the radio button was set to "display the results
and go to the most likely site", was selected. I tried
selecting the other search options, nothing made any
difference.
Someone mentioned that a registry key might have been
deleted by ad-aware, can anyone confirm that? If so,
how can I get it back?
Please help, our users are not happy about this.
thank you very much.
