search from address bar

I have my computer setup to search from the address bar using google. I have
not changed anything but now I am unable to search from the address bar.
Like when I am searching from the address bar for hello kitty graphics I get
page cannot be displayed and in the address bar is this -
http:///? hello kitty graphics. How can I get back the ability to
search from the address bar using google? Thanks.

Are you using either the ICQ/Google toolbar, Cool web Search, the Yahoo or
DomainSpa search toolbars. These toolbars are known IE SearchHook hijackers.

Wow that worked! But I did not have any of those toolbars on my computer.
