Adding Icons to XP

IS there a site I can go to for additional Icons other
than the ones displayed here: %SystemRoot%\system32
\SHELL32.dll. I want to add new icons to some of my
linked programs and websites. They do not have there own
specific icon so windows gives them the big "E" by
default.
Is it possible to use the bitmap images as icons?

Check www.wincostomize.com

You can download icon .icl libraries for their IconPackager program. You
don't need iconpackager, just the icon libraries. All XP icons.

There is a web ring to a bunch of sites with icons at

There are several icon editors out there which allow you to convert
pictures and other images to icons (see
http://www.cursorarts.com/ca_if_tips.html for example).
