Printer Icons not displaying

I have a customer whose printer icons no longer show. Next to the printer
queues, it now shows the generic icon for unrecognized programs. There is a
printer icon in system32\shell32.dll that I can use in the folder options and
file types, but I don't know which file needs to be associated with the
designated printer icon.

Verify that the Print Spooler service is running. Note the Dependencies and
try to start them. If the dependent services are missing or can't be
started, try reinstalling the printer drivers.

I did verify that the print spooler service was running. I'm not sure what
you mean by dependencies or which services they would be. Could you be more
specific?

All the print queues are working properly. They are network queues. The
icons show up under another user's profile but not on hers. I'm trying to
avoid having to create a new profile for her.

Thanks for your help.

When you double-click the entry for the print spooler in Services, you will
see a tab that has the dependencies. See what they are and if they aren't
running, that will give you a place to start.

Otherwise, The First Question of Troubleshooting: what changed between the
time things worked and the time they didn't?
