Adding Domain Admins from a Trusted NT 4.0 Domain

I have one Windows 2K AD and one NT 4.0 domain with a two-way external trust
between them. The trust is working fine and can be verified successfully. I
have been asked to give Win 2K domain admin rights to members of the domain
admin group (or individuals) in the NT domain. I can only add them to local
groups but not domain security groups. Is this possible? I cannot see how
or am I missing something? Thanks.

I am trying to add a Windows NT domain admin (or the domain admin group) into
the domain admin group in the Win 2K AD domain. I can them to the Built-in
local Administrators groups of the Win 2K domain controller.
