W2K3 Trust

Have a trust setup between a NT 4.0 domain ( SP6 ) and a W2K3 domain. Trust
validates out both ways every time we check it.

NT Domain can see users and groups in the W2K3 Domain fine "all the time"

W2K3 domain can always resolve names in the NT domain by manually typing
them in, but if you try to browse the list you get a error saying that there
is not logon server avaiable Blah Blah Blah..... If you go and manually type
the user/group in it resolves fine and then try to go browse the list and it
comes up?

Have you checked the WINS settings on the domain controllers? Are they
consistent? Does the NT side have 1B and 1C records in its WINS for the
2003 domain, or are all machines using the same WINS database?

NT Server is using Wins but also has a LMHOSTS file with entries.

W2K3 DC has a LMHOSTS file and is not using wins.

What do the 1B and 1C entries give me? Do have a entry in WINS NT server
for the domain and it has 1Ch next to it so I am assuming we have the 1C.
Not seeing the 1B Option but it is a part of my LMHOSTS file

Have this in my LMHOSTS file

192.168.x.x SERVERNAME #PRE #DOM:NBHEART
192.168.x.x "DOMAINNAME \0x1b" #PRE

Should work shouldn't it?
