Add/remove software does not work

I have been trying to remove a software program and have had no luck as of
yet. The download for the program failed, I then tried to use the add/remove
program featur and that would not work. I went in and searched for all of
the softwares associated files and deleted them. Still not removed. I then
when into the regedit and removed the software elements from there and it is
still on my computer. I have tried to reload the software from its disc and
I get an error message stating that a newer version is on my computer and it
can't load the software on.

Any other suggestions?

Contact the Software Manufacturer. They should know about the failure of
their product, and they should take some steps to help you correct what they
have done to your PC.

The program is called "Olympus MASTER" its for my carmera.
And what did Olympus say when you brought this problem to their attention?
Olympus is responsible for writing a correct uninstall program.
You could remove all traces of the software and all registry entries, but
that is a very hazardous undertaking.

click start, run, type regedit. expand hkey_local_machine.
software
microsoft
windows
current version
uninstall
click on all the programs, one by one looking for the program you want
removed, right click it then remove, be careful not to remove the wrong one.
you should see the name of the program which you can't remove from add
remove. you will then find that the program will be gone from add remove.
