Add/remove programs will not populate list

In the Add/ Remove programs ...when I open it up it says: "Please wait while
the list is being populated..." but the list never populates and and it just
hangs with that message still at the top. I have tried antivus..and spywear
removal...I am lost here...any help would be greatlt appreciated

I waited 5 minutes and viola! It populated!
Try waiting a few minutes. Might work for you.

You thought the OP was actually still waiting around for your response in a
