Add/Remove Programs Question

I noticed that both Sun Java versions 1.4.1_01 and 5.0 Updates 1/2/4/6
show in Add/Remove Programs. Since the latter is the renamed 1.5
(plus updates), I tried removing the other. It seems to run through the
uninstall cycle, but doesn't come off the A/R Programs list. Would this
be a Windows problem? Thanks.
