Add/Remove Programs list

I have an item listed in the Add/Remove programs list that is not on
the computer. How do I get it off that list. Example. It has AOL9.0
listed. When I try to remove it, it says it can't find that program.
on the computer. l
 
As an alternative, reinstall AOL 9.0 and try the uninstallation process
again.

If it is not possible:

Click Start, Run, type (without the quotation marks) "regedit", click OK and
navigate to this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall.

Once there, you should expand the key and delete the subkey pointing to AOL
9.0.

Please, it's *highly* recommended that you export the above key from
Registry Editor (File, Export) prior to deleting any value/subkey.
