problems with add and remove programs

I know that I have more programs on my computer than those that are listed on
add and remove programs. An example is my antivirus is not listed there and
I would like to remove it to change antiviruses but this along with other
programs which are working and available on my pc are not on the add and
remove program list... how do i go about removing them?

i'm no expert, but try this: when you run the programs in question, check the
main menu screens for an 'uninstall' option.... if one isn't listed, try the
on-board help screens... they might tell you how to safely remove/uninstall
your software.
