Do you have the file "appwiz.cpl" file in the System32 folder (c:\windows\system32)? If you do, double-click this file. What happens? Also, download TweakUI from Microsoft. Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP (for Windows XP SP1 or higher) http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx If Windows XP does not have any service packs installed then visit Ramesh's website to obtain Tweak UI for Windows XP with no Service Packs. Tweak UI for Windows XP http://windowsxp.mvps.org/tweakui.htm Run TweakUI and go to "Control Panel" > ensure "appwiz.cpl - Shell Application Manager" is checked.
