Add-ons disabled in IE7 beta2

Guest

Having just downloaded IE7, I now find that I can't load certain programs
because my Active-X controls are disabled. I have followed the instructions
Microsoft supplies, like right clicking under the menu bar, but no box
relating to Active-X controls appears. I have also clicked on
Start>Accessories>System to find that I.E is marked "Add-ons disabled".
Clicking on it doesn't change anything.

Does anyone know of a solution ?

Try posting in the appropriate IE7 beta newsgroup for this....

IE7 beta questions should be directed to the internet explorer newsgroup.

Don't use beta software in a non-testing environment.

Yup, look at the properties of the shortcut. I bet it has a switch that
says "extentions disabled" or somesuch. Remove the switch from the
shortcut, and it'll work.

Hi Allen.

I'd suggest using system restore to roll back to a time before you installed
IE 7 beta. Or using start, control anel, add/remove and removing it there.
Then you can download IE 6 in its place. Probably not good idea to grab
beta programs on your primary use computer unless and until you are sure you
will have no problems.
