add-on and active x

Can anyone help? When I view an Adobe Acrobat file on the internet I get a
message:
Internet Explorer has encountered a problem with an
Add-on and needs to close.
The following add-on was running when this problem occured:
Filedf.ocx
Company Name: Adobe Systems, Inc.
Dexcription: Adobe Acrobat Control for
Active X

You may need to update their Active x file in IE tools, internet options,
properties, programs, manage add-ons, update the Adobe entry, if available to
do so.. Or go to your control panel, add/remove programs, your Adobe version
and click on their support link , then click repair...
