Ad-Aware SE Personal Scheduling

I've searched for a while now to get the answer but I can't find it. How do I
make it so that Ad-aware SE Personal will scaan automatically without any
help from me? I assume I have to change something in the Run command, but
what. As well, I would like to know how to find these things out. I thought
there was a way you could type the programs .exe name into the DOS command
window and then type /help. I could be wrong but just tell me what to do.
Thnx.

Wrong version. You need a minimum of Ad-Aware SE Plus
Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition only runs in an interactive mode.

Execute; Ad-Aware.exe /?
For command line switches.

It works, you did it wrong. You have to provide the Fully Qualified path to the EXE file
and use the /? command line switch.

Or you can copy the Ad-Aware shortcut. In the copy, edit the properties for the "target"
and append the switch, /?

Here's how to run Ad-Aware SE Professional from a batch file. Unknown if
other versions will not work the same way:

"D:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware SE Professional\Ad-Aware.exe" /full
+auto +update +procnuke

Save this as a batch file and it will run automatically if you also set it
up in Scheduled Tasks. As you can see I have Ad-Aware installed to my 'D'
drive so you'll need to change this to point to your correct directory. You
have the option of doing a full scan (which this batch file is set up to do)
or a smart scan by replacing the 'full' with 'smart'. The '+auto' makes it
run automatically when it starts up. The '+update' makes it get the latest
updates before it runs. And here is an explanation what '+procnuke' does:

Performs an aggressive memory scan. Ad-Aware will try to unload/terminate
the process/module and immediately delete it. This is required to handle
reciprocal processes for example. It also unloads explorer and recognized
modules during the removal, regardless of whether or not the tweak options
are set.

You can go here for more information on how to set it up:
http://www.cheap56k.com/view-reviews/reviews-comparisons/accesschicago.net.shtml

Remember if you want to set this up on a schedule: type or copy/paste the
above into Notepad and save as a batch file. Then setup Scheduled Tasks to
point to this batch file.

You missed my reply -- "You need a minimum of Ad-Aware SE Plus
Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition only runs in an interactive mode."

I tried the suggested command line switches, it still needs user intervention in Ad-Aware SE
Personal Edition.

I read your post and replied that I was unsure if other versions would run
this way however if this cannot help thunderstruck_302 then it can help
those with other versions of Ad-Aware.
