Activex problem

F

Fred Zinsli

I have a PC here that sudenly started presenting the
following error when loading some pages.

"Your current security settings prohibit running Activex
controls on this page. As a result, the page may not
display correctly."

I have checked the security settings, and it is currently
set to allow activex.

Not sure where else to look.

Would appreciate it if someone could give me some clues as
to where or what I am looking for.

Many thanks in advance.

I couldn't find anything on that page that referenced
this particular error message. I'm having the same
problem.

Try re-registering the following .dll files
Softpub.dll
Wintrust.dll
Initpki.dll
Urlmon.dll

1. Click Start >Run and type
regsvr32 Softpub.dll
Click okay to register it
You should get a dialog box telling you that it was successful.
2. Repeat the process for the other .dll files.
3. Restart your computer and try the update site again.

if the above doesn't help -
