I am trying to update a workstation using windows update. It comes to a
screen that says ActiveX is needed and to right click the "Information Bar"
directly below the Address Bar. The Information bar is nowhere to be found so
I cannot continue.
How do I get the Information bar to appear?
We are running Windows XP. and other stations have had the Information Bar
appear so I was able to update them. It is just this one station.
Any help would be appreciated.

tools>internet options>security and click on internet then on the custom
button. Allow signed activex to download and run but do not allow anything
unsigned (or not marked as safe). If this doesn't do it a simple way might
be to try putting the update site URL (copy from browser address bar) into
the trusted sites zone (using paste).

You may have to close and restart IE but not the machine.
