ActiveX Error?

D

Danny Quigg

I went to www.askjeeves.com and clicked on the link to
download their searchbar. While the page was loading, I
got an error message saying:
"Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX
Controls on this page. As a result the page may not be
displayed properly."

I have all my browser security settings on lowest and I
have enabled activeX on my browser but still no joy.

Can any1 help with this plz?

Try these settings:
1.. On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options.
2.. On the Security tab, click Internet, and then click Custom Level.
3.. Under Download Signed ActiveX Controls, click Enable or Prompt.
4.. Click OK, and then click Yes.
5.. Click OK.
Thanks.
Uma.

I am having the same problem as the first person, tried
the solution below, and still have the problem. Scanning
on ActiveX, there are many people having the same
difficulty. Is this a wide spread problem? I have a
Dell laptop.
