ACTIVE X ??

Hi, I am a damsel in distress! Whenever I go to a web page, the pictures dont
load up properly, and you cant make out features, etc. Theyre all small
squares clustered together, but the text is fine. Then I get a msg saying
"current security setting prohibit running Active X controls on this page. As
a result page may not display properly". Checked 'run Active X' and its
enabled, so I dont know. Only had this Dell Dimension 3wks and sometimes
pages take AGES to load, and sometimes when I click the mouse it wont change
from a hand to an egg timer thingy.
Can anyone help me sort this b4 im carted off to an institution???

(assuming you are using IE)
this decreases your security settings from High to Medium
on Internet Explorer so be warned. I think the default
might be Medium though. Any ActiveX control marked as
safe will be let through, but unsafe ones are still not
allowed.

(In IE)
go to
Tools (on the toolbar)
Internet Options
Click the Security Tab
Highlight the Internet Icon
Click Custom Level at the bottom
At the bottom of the Security Settings chose
Medium settings and hit reset.
