everytime there is a problem on my computer and i open the help and support
window i am unable to use it because i get a message which says," An Active X
control on this page is not safe. Your current security settings prohibit
running unsafe controls on this page. As a result this page may not display
properly." And as a result I am unable to use help and support at all. I've
tried to figure out what the problem is but to no avail. I know it doesn't
actually have anything to do with my anti virus program because even without
the antivirus in the computer I still get the message. HELP!

This is likely a browser security setting rather than an antivirus warning.
On your browser, click on Tools and then Internet Options and then the
Security tab and then Custom Level. There is a section for Active X controls
but use some discretion...set most to "prompt" and only allow one if you know
it is from a reliable source. Also, if you are unsure, then err on the
conservative side as it is easier to to go back in and set it lower than to
potentially have a real issue by enabling all Active X controls. It does
seem odd that the Help and Support page is saying it is unsafe, though that
is likely because your prior security settings were set too high.

It works but when you do that it opens you up to attack from the internet.
So, you have to undo everytime you get done using help and support and then
the next time you have to go thru it all over again. So, while it works, it's
not really a solution. It would be better if I knew what was causing it so
that it can be fixed. But, at least for now , it allows me in to try to fix
other problems. Thanks.
