Active Directory Naming Information Cannot be Located

Rami Salloum

I have Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server with an
Exchange Server. Once i download The Service Pack 4 of the
windows and i restart the server and it works normally for
3 hours, then i got a blue screen. I restart the server
and goes normally till i found that the active directory
is damage and so the services of the exchange won't start.
I tried to open the active directory and i got this
message:
Naming Information Cannot be Located
The specified domain either does not exist or could not be
contacted.
Contact your system administrator to verify that your
domain is properly configured and is currently on line.

What should i do, Active Directory is damage, so the
registry and i can not let the exchange start.
If i restore the system state backup, do you think it will
works ???

Best regards,
Rami Salloum

What is your BSOD code with parameters ? What entries do you have in Event
log ? Run dcdiag and netdiag to get better info.
