hi, i just recieved a "oem" copy of xp, it says activate
it within thirty days, i was wondering if i do this can i
still put it on my office and home machines or is this a
one time deal.

No, just like any other version of Windows you are allowed to put it on one
computer. Just like other versions of Windows you will need to buy another
copy to put on another computer.

Hi Bruce,

OEM or Retail, you only get to install it on one machine. You need two
copies to install to two machines. The OEM version is permanently tied to
the first machine it is activated on, while the Retail version can be
uninstalled and moved to another machine.
