Activation not working.

I recently bought a new hard drive for my computer. I installed Windows XP
Home 2003 in it (the disc that came with my original hard drive and setup).
I have a notification on my taskbar that I need to activate windows, and have
twenty five days left. I have a keycode, however when I click the icon to
activate it, it tells me windows is already activated.

This happened on my old hard drive as well when I upgraded my motherboard.
After thirty days I could no longer log in to my computer, because it
required the keycode, which I am unable to input.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
