I upgrade my windows XP Home to windows XP professional with an upgrade
license.
The setup was ok but when I try to activate my windows copy, launcing
msoobe.exe I receive this error: Faulting application msoobe.exe, version
5.1.2600.0, faulting module urlmon.dll, version 6.0.2900.2823, fault address
0x0000381c

What can I to to activate my windows copy?
Thanks
Luigi

You may have to do a complete fresh reinstall instead of upgrading.

Upgrading Windows never was the right way to do it, most often it causes
more problems than you had before.

Of course you' ll lose all your data on that partition as well as all
settings. So boot Knoppix or another live System and backup your data first.

Balderdash. Windows XP Upgrades work very much better than did
upgrades to previous versions of Windows. This is doubly true of the
upgrade from XP Home to XP Pro because the 2 versions are virtually
identical except for those specific functions and features which are
included in XP Pro but are not part of XP Home. The two versions are
both produced from the same source code base.

Try repairing the registry entries for the .DLL files used by
activation.

Use Start- Run and enter the following text in the dialog box:
regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll

Then do it again with the following text:
regsvr32.exe licdll.dll

Good luck

Yes. Then please post the solution? No?
