activation xp home edtion

i gave my father my old pc ,this has windows xp home editon on it .when i set
it up @ his house it said hardware has changed please validate windows .when
serial was keyed in which took a few attempts as it said was busy. when we
finally got through it said you have used your validation amounts up and now
we cant get into windows @ all.i just have the one pc @ home running this .

I have used my Validation up 6 times now..........and each time I phone that
MS number that shows up and get re-activated.
Under Start/progras look for the Activation Icon and click it...go thru the
process when/if it fails the phone numbers will come up.

The copyright laws are quite clear on this; in general you may sell or give
away licensed software (and restrictions which try to prevent you from doing
so are of questionable legality, I might add) BUT if you do so then you must
cease to use it yourself.
