ACTIVATED OFFICE & RECEIVED ACTIVATION NOTICE. WORD STILL LOCKED?

I activated my microsoft word and recieved the pop up saying it was activated
and everything, but now- microsoft word is still saying it is locked. how do
i fix it?

Which Office version (2000, XP, 2003, or 2007) and edition (e.g.,
Standard, Professional, etc.) are you YELLING about? Is it a free trial
copy or a purchased copy or a pirate copy downloaded from the internet
or something else? If it is a free trial copy, and if the trial period
has ended, then you cannot reinstall the software to extend the trial
period.
