Activating Word in Office

I got this new computer in July and it came with cd's for word etc - I have
entered the sitekey password to activate word millions of times but word has
not activated for me yet, it still says its in a trial period and do I want
to convert? Now I am in the U.S. while the cd with the number is at home in
Ireland. Does anyone know why it has never worked???
