Acquiring Network Address

Hey All,

XP Sp2, Sporadic internet access stuttering, router now shows only 1 of 2
computers and no comp. names shown now? Both get reasonably but not always
access. Googled a bit, something about NetBios over TCP/IP, could not find
it in the properties of LAN. Downloaded and installed a firmware update for
the Phoebe 4 port router. Never saw the ping pong balls of Acquiring Network
Address before and I haven't been messing around.

Any Happy Trails To Follow?

Find NetBios over TCP/IP setting here
Network Connections >R/Click >Properties > Internet Protocol TCP/IP >
Properties Button > Advanced... Button>Wins Tab

Hi Roberto,

I was missing the advanced tab, mocha gracias. Still erratic though, last
look showed 2 comps but not the names. Router reset sometimes helps, haven't
found a pattern though.
