My computer has been shutting itself off, usually when I
try to use something that deals with graphics such as a
game or the internet. It doesn't happen every time, just
intermintently but is getting more frequent. I thought it
was a software problem caused by some sort of conflict so
I installed a new O/S (Windows XP), but I still have the
same problem. Fortunately, because of XP, I now have the
ability to view the Error Log and this is the message
that I keep getting:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: ACPI

Now that I have isolated the error, I have no idea how to
correct it. I have gone to the links and read up on it
but haven't really found any hard advice as to how I go
about fixing the problem. Any information or suggestions?

Thanx in advance
