Access Tab control white colour problem

I have a problem with tab backgroud colour. It's very peculiar to me
that --

I am currently working Access Project in my laptop. When i change
from classic style to visual style, the backgroud of tab controls turn
white. It's very ungly - plain white colour.

I thought that might be a problem with Access in my laptop, so I start
Access in desktop computer and I test putting tab control in the form,
it's ok with light brownish background (in visual style winxp as well)

Afterthat, I transfer that Access project from my notebook to desktop
and open it in desktop computer. The tab controls again show white
background.

In my opinion, I concerned that might be specific to that certain *adp
project, so I test creating a new database and place tab control on
the form again (in desktop computer). Tab background remains white.

I try to uninstall and reinstall Access from desktop, tab control
background still remain white.

I want to have light brownish tab background as before.

I couldn't find any solution so far in the net.

Could you please identify what is the exact problem, or any
suggestions are very appreciated.

Many thanks in advance

Yep: this is how the tab control behaves under Windows XP if you have Themes
turned on. Even setting the BackStyle of the tab control to Transparent does
not work like it did in previous versions.

AFAIK, the only workaround is to disable themes. Right-click the Windows
desktop, and choose Properties. Set the Theme to "Windows Classic".

There's another bug that causes unattached labels to flicker whenever the
mouse passes over them if they are on the page of a tab control etc.
