Access 2003 tab control not transparent

In previous versions of access I could set a tab control's background to be transparent and the background colour of the sections is visible. In thhis new version the tab control appears white whether the control is set transparent or not. How do I fix this

Hi David.

I believe the problem is with the Windows XP themes. See if disabling them
works (i.e. set the theme to Classic Windows).

There is also a problem with unassociated labels on the pages of a tab
control under WinXP with themes: they flicker when the mouse passes over
them. Workaround:
