I put an image named Image1 in a report and change Image1.picture in
background VBA code.

Image1.picture="c:\a.gif"

a.gif is a picture with transparently background .But in print view of the
report,it's background turns white! Why?

I do not have A2007 installed here but I would imagine the internal
structure of the storage mechanism behind the Image control has changed
signficantly from previous releases(A97 through A2003).

When converting existing A2003 MDB to A2007, the internal Access conversion
logic is written to handle transparency.

Have you tried copying and pasting a transparent Image from an open MS Word
document directly onto an Access form?

Stephen,

Thanks for the interest. I have just retried calling up your .emf images in
A2007 and it all works as expected. I don't know what I was doing before
when I got a charcoal grey opaque background.

So it seems it was a false alarm. (I'm somewhat relieved as I can preserve
the look and feel of my current project.)

Regards,

Rod
