Outline around transparent background

I'm putting a transparent picture as a background to a slide. I put the
picture on the slide master and then put a big transparent shape over it
using the "solid fill" option. It makes the picture transparent, but when
using Print Previow or when printing an outline (a box) shows up around the
transparent shape. I'm positive "no line" is checked for the shape. Why is
this happening?

Are you printing in black and white?

Which version of PPT are you using?

Okay, thanks. Go to the View tab on the Ribbon and click Grayscale (or Pure
Black and White, which is probably what you're using if you see a border).
See if any of the options on the Grayscale tab resolve the issue for you.
White or Don't Show might be options, depending on what you need. These
settings only affect your B/W printing -- they don't do anything to your
actual color file.
