How can I set a subreport background to transparent?

Hi:

I am building a client report that has a main report with several
subreports composed of data and charts. The client has requested a
watermark image be displayed as the background for the report.

What I am having trouble doing is getting the the subreports to
display with a transparent background so that the watermark image will
be visible in the final report. I can set the data fields to have a
transparent background, but the subreport still has a white box shape
to it that covers the report background image.

Is there anyway to create a transparent background for a subreport?

Thanks in advance!

I guess not. I have never heard of a way to overcome the
lack of transparency for any of the complex controls, but I
was hoping someone else had an innovative idea.

If there is enough space between the subreports, try to
squeeze the watermark image in between them. If a subreport
is big enough, try putting the image in the subreport.

OTOH, maybe you don't really have to use subreports??

If the watermark is just some text and lines, try using the
print, line and/or circle methods in the main report's Page
event.

Preprint the watermark on the paper you use to print the report. That will
not, of course, be as convenient as what you'd like, but will accomplish the
purpose. (No, I don't know how to do this if you are "printing" to a .PDF.)
