Access snapshot viewer

I'm using the snapshot format to save reports created in
Access and e-mailing them to other employees. Some are
having trouble loading the viewer and looking at the
reports. Does the Windows version make a difference?
Will those with Windows XP be able to view the reports?
Do they have to have Office loaded?

Steve,

I'm sorry that I didn't make myself clear, but they have
the instructions to install the snapshot viewer and say
that they have done so. But they are still unable to read
the attachments I have sent. They're asking if there's a
compatibility problem between the Windows version I'm
using (2000) and the one they have (XP). Is this a
possibility? One person also received a message saying
that he must have Office installed in order to read the
snapshot reports. Is this correct?

Thanks,
Betsy

You should not have to have Office installed and AFAIK there are no issues
concerning the OS version. However; I have seen cases where certain
printer drivers did not "get along" with the Snapshot Viewer. In some
cases users even found that the viewer shut down their spooler service and
it had to be restarted.

I would see if changing the default printer driver for these users makes
any difference.
