Snapshot viewer

In Access 2003 I want to send Access reports as an email attachment using the
Snapshot format. If the recipient of the email does not have Access and hey
open the atachment will they have to install the Snapshot viewer?

If the answer is yes is there anyway to include the viewer with the attached
file so that the recipient of the email will not have to go through the
process of downloading the Snapshot viewer. Thanks for any help.

Even if the recipient does not have Access, they will still be able to open
the snapshot. It can be opened like any other pic. Not sure how it would
work for Mac users, but you can right click on the attachment and select
"open with" and a picture viewing program.

I don't think that's correct.

The Access Snapshot format isn't a graphic format: it's similar to the PDF
format.

As far as I know, the answer to the original question is no, you cannot
package the viewer with the report. Perhaps you can include the URL to the
viewer in the text of the e-mail.

Interesting. I've used Paint to open snapshots before. But I've also never
used a computer without Access.
