You don't launch, nor do you "open" the runtime. once the runtime is
installed, then you can simply double click the access database, and it will
run....

The access runtime does NOT place a "menu" item in the windows start->menu
system at all...

So, launch your application by double clicking on it....

can you please explain that better??? I tried clicking on the accessruntime
icon and it didnt work..it went through the installation sequence all over
again. I'm getting extremely frustrated, expecially because I was willing to
buy it but the website does not provide it by itself.

Where did I state to click on the icon? I said ***NOTHING*** as such!!!

I said, the runtime DOES NOT create ANY SHORTCUTS to launch the runtime.

To make the runtime work, you MUST click on the access database you have.
You can NOT use the runtime to create a database...it is only a "runtime"
only version.

I suppose you could browse into the program dir, and launch a copy, but it
will not do anything useful.

You don't buy the runtime...it is a free tool.

***AFTER*** you install the runtime you ***THEN*** click on your access
database. The runtime does not create databases, is a run-time only version
of ms-access. (hence the name run-time....).
