Access Runtime 2007 Split Database

Hello,

Does anyone know how I would impliment a multi-user database with
Access 2007 runtime. I hear that you can't do it with a split
database using the Package Solution Wizard. Any thoughts would be
greatly appreciated.

I have no experience with the Access 2007 Package Solution Wizard and Access
2007 Runtime, but that has never been the case in any previous version. I
think the Access team is far too intelligent to release the product if that
were the case.

After all, I've heard the moon is made of green cheese, too, but didn't take
it as a "true fact".

Where would you have heard such a rumor, if you don't mind my asking?

My first Access 2007 application (a biggie) is running happily multi-user
with the A2007 runtime. Admittedly it's using SQL Server as the back end,
but if it works with tables linked to SQL Server I can't see why it wouldn't
work with tables linked to an Access back-end.

Hi Larry,

I was just looking around on the net and saw that a few people had
indicated that trying to use the package solution wizard to impliment
a multi-user system was a little easier said than done. However, as I
have nver done this before I am unsure if that is true or not (I
apologize if I assumed a bit early). Is there a way that I can put
both the back end and front end on a disk and be able to impliment
both on the first machine, and then the front end on each machine
after that??

I'm glad to hear that current versions of the Package Solution Wizard
can handle split-database multi-user (i.e. split location) installations.
That
was not the case when I was using it, but that was some time ago.
