Is it possible to split access database with runtime or by vba code ?

Hello,
I plan to distribute an access application to users that only have the access runtime.

I will distribute a split database (front and back end files: 2 files at start).

It may be possible that the back end file exceeds 2gb later.

Do you know if there is a way to split the back end file without having a full version of access installed ?

Is it possible to manage the split by vba code or something else ?

I would like to add a precision to my previous post. Each user will have its own database (front and back end files). The back end file is not shared by the users (as it can be the case in a company.)
