I'm running the network install of SP2 with no luck! All
runs fine untill about mid way through I get an "Access is
Denied" error and the SP2 uninstall wizard starts.

Any ideas??

Thanks Cary! It looks like I don't have the regwiz.dll
file. I have an OEM version of XP Pro on a Gateway
laptop. Any suggestions?

If you ever installed XP-Antispy, it disables a .dll Windows XP SP2 requires,
so just in case, Start -> Run and type in the following, individually, hitting enter
after each entry:

regsvr32 licdll.dll
regsvr32 regwiz.dll

Hi Carey,

I cannot find the "access is denied" in Kelly Theriot website. Can you
specify the link?

Thank you,

Peter

See my thread, SP2 "Access Denied"

This is a registry key permission problem. You can trace
using the setupapi.log in the windows system dir.

See thread for full details.

Good luck
