access denied on sp2 install

I have tried about 10 times to install XP home sp2, but each time it gets
about half way done and says access denied, then uninstalls and reboots. I
have run all of the adware ect programs and disabled Norton during
installation. Help! Thanks!

Beyond the fact that Microsoft's approach to an upgrade just sucks, you
have to ensure that you were not originally logged in as the
Admininstrator. If you were, then you have to start windows and then
log in by pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL twice to bring up the old Windows 2000
login screen.

Then login as the administrator and re-install service pack 2.
