Has your database been set up appropriately for the run time? You need to
ensure that a form opens up when the database is opened, and that there's a
way for the users to move from form to form. (You also need to ensure that
you have good error tracking)

Doug,

thanks for the reply, i am not familiar with the requirements for the
runtime? i only have a basic database with tables, forms and queries. Would
you have a guide or steps for the run time like you suggested?

many thanks

Hi Jay-

I would recommend at the least to use the Switchboard Manager (found
under Database Tools) to set up a very basic "switchboard" which the
users can use to navigate the db with. Access will do all the
background work to route to the correct forms, tables etc.

Sorry, I struck out trying to find a good reference to which I could point
you.
