Access Denied

I recently discovered a folder on my c:\; it is a long letter/number name
like a20ebb etc. I can look at the folder, I can look at the names of the
subfolders. They have names like adp, equifax, fam, loader, owc11, paypa,
sba, sbaredist, sse. All have dates of 1/16/2007. I am logged on as the
administator of the computer yet I cannot examine these folders and I cannot
delete them.

So my questions are: Is this some sort of attack? Is there a utility which
can show me the owner of this folder? Is there a utility which can give me
access to it? I even rebooted, thinking that some application was using it,
but that didn't help.

Do you have MS Office? It looks like a temporary MS Office update folder of
some sort that got left behind.

Folders name with random characters appear after installing a Service Pack
or hotfix
