Access Denied

hi,

i recently had to switch my \Windows\ folder to my 2nd
hard drive because of some errors, and i wanted the files
from the 1st hard drive copied over from \Documents and
Settings\ but my user account \Jon\ had been protected,
using the 'Make this folder private option'

i tried backing up the folder then restoring it to my 2nd
hard drive but that doesnt work

could anyone please give me some suggestions of how to
get my files back?
