access denied to system state

Does anyone have a fix for "access denied to system state" error message when
backing up a Windows 2000 box running a Backup Exec Remote Agent with Veritas
Backup Exec 10d? All was fine until recently. There were some issues on the
Windows 2000 box where several security patches kept wanting to be
reinstalled. After that issue was fixed the problem started with Backup Exec
10d.

So no one has seen this issue before? Is there another post that might be
better able to address this issue? Anyone, Please let me know. Thanks in
advance.
