Access 2007 Open File problem

I recently purchase a new laptop and MS Office 2007 professional. I have it
loads on the laptop and my home computer. While staying with my wife in the
hospital I worked on a database in Access 2007 on the laptop. I coppied the
file to a USB drive and from the USB drive to my home computer but when I try
to open it (or any other file for that matter) on the home computer nothing
happens. The laptop is running MS Vista the home computer is running XP
Professional.

Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

First open Excel and try to build an save a file, to make sure your copy of
Office is loaded properly. Then open Access, and try to open the Northwind
sample database. If that works, try to right-click on the file in Explorer,
and choose Properties. Unblock the file, or choose Advanced and change the
file permissions.
