Access 2000 Startup Problem

Error - can't be started. was unable to initalize the Windows Registry. Rerun
Microsoft Access or Microsoft Office Setup to reinstall.

I have tried this only to come back to the same error. I have done a
complete uninstall and removed office from the registry and reinstalled but
with no joy.

Anyone help?
 
Have you installed it when you were logged in as local admin? Sounds
like permissions/rights issue.
