? about Windows Explorer view/arrainge icons by/name

Hi! :)

When I have Windows Explorer set to view/arrainge icons by/name, is there
any way to get it to go by strict alphanumeric order regardless of spaces,
dashes, underscores, brackets, etc.?

If not, why isn't it made that way? Seems like to me that including spaces,
dashes, underscores, brackets, etc. in deciding what order files should be
displayed in unecessarily complicates things.

Thanx in advance :)

Actually, I believe this is what you need:

Line 107. Change the Sort Order back to Pre-XP

I followed the instructions on that page and got a message saying that the
info was successfully copied to the registry, but even after a restart,
Windows Explorer apparently still includes non-alphanumeric characters in
deciding the sort order when set to "sort by name"
